Conference focus and outputs
The conference will focus on the regulatory dimensions of and key legal and pedagogical considerations for Artificial Intelligence and education. It is expected to produce the following outputs, which will be further developed in collaboration with the Steering Committee for Education and interested conference stakeholders:
- Actionable recommendations for the development of a legal instrument that to ensure the ethical, equitable and effective use of AI systems in educational settings
- Key elements for the proposed legal instrument
- Informed feedback on the draft Policy Toolbox for Teaching and Learning With and About Artificial Intelligence and the Feasibility study for the development of a European Reference Framework for the Evaluation of Educational Technologies.

Registration
Please register here before and no later than 1 September 2024.
In order to ensure a balanced and diverse representation, the Conference organising committee will evaluate independent applicants based on their professional background, relevant work outputs, and their potential to contribute to discussions on regulating AI systems in educational settings.
The selection process will give priority to applicants who are able to make a valuable contribution to the conference. Once the committee has completed the selection procedure, we will inform the selected participants accordingly.
