From 28 June to 4 July a training expert was deployed at the Centre for Continuous Electoral Trainings (CCET) by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Moldova with a view to analyse its current training programmes and make recommendation of improving the training curricula for the electoral stakeholders.
The expert work included drafting of a concept note with recommendations inter alia with a view to:
- Make proposals for improving the training methods and techniques (in terms of effective teaching techniques for adults, new teaching, evaluation and monitoring methods, value of the e-learning course);
- Make proposals to improve the quality of training programmes with particular focus to Precinct Electoral Commission members and District Electoral Commission members;
- Make recommendations for improving training curricula on issues not currently covered by CCET training programmes, comparative case-studies, recommendations on the application of international educational standards relevant for all CCET training programs.
The draft concept note will be discussed with the Moldovan authorities at an expert meeting to be held in early November.
