Over 35 accountants from District Electoral Councils (DECs) throughout the country actively participated in the 2-day training on Capacities of district electoral councils regarding the management of financial sources designed for the general local elections in November 2023 organised by the Council of Europe in Chisinau.

This training enhanced knowledge and practical skills of the financial officers working within the DECs and prepare them to manage the financial resources for the upcoming general local elections on 5 November 2023.

The participants benefited from the knowledge and expertise of the colleagues from the Financial and Economic Department of the Central Electoral Commission to ensure that the financing of the electoral processes is conducted transparently and effectively at the level of DECs.

The event was organised in the framework of the Council of Europe Project Improving Electoral Practice in the Republic of Moldova, Phase III, in partnership with the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova.
