 About the project

Project is focused on promotion of social rights and social inclusion among young people from marginalized groups using non-formal education methods. The project aims to assist young people, teachers, youth workers and institutions in addressing social rights and social inclusion. The project itself will last for five months and consists of two phases: an online campaign and an awareness campaign.

Main objectives of the project are:

• To inform young people about their social rights and raise awareness about social inclusion through an online and awareness campaign.
• To improve competences of youth workers and teachers so they can work with social rights and social inclusion topics in the local level.

Main Activities of the project are:

• Online Campaign with five online meetings organised with 100 participants and special guests from different sectors to discuss about social rights and social inclusion and promote educational manuals from COE. In addition, an online training module about social rights for 20 participants (youth workers, teachers) to improve competences of teachers and youth workers as educators/facilitators by providing them with information and different methods of working with young people.
• Awareness package with five info sessions, with participation of 125 students and pupils from disadvantaged neighbourhoods near Tirana, as well as an informative video created with the main aim to promote social rights and social inclusion

Target group of the project are 100 young people who participate in the 5 online thematic events (students, pupils, youth workers, teachers, Roma communities, LGBTIQ+, the staff of 61 European Integration Units in 61 Municipalities of Albania); 125 students and pupils from disadvantaged neighbourhoods near Tirana.

Silvia is a member of Beyond Barriers Association (BBA) which is a non-profit, civil society organization, established in June 2004. BBA works with young people in national, regional and European levels, by fostering empowerment through non-formal education.
