On 2 and 3 May 2024, at the invitation of the European Centre for Disaster Medicine (CEMEC) of San Marino, the directors of specialised scientific centres met at the newly inaugurated Centre for Global Studies at Palazzo Masi in San Marino (and online) to discuss ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation among key stakeholders engaged in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), refining roles and streamline networking efforts across the Euro-Mediterranean region. This initiative highlighted EUR-OPA Major Hazards Agreement specialised centres response to the need for coordinated strategies and improved information sharing among entities involved in disaster management.
