News from the Specialised Centers: The CERU (CERU – Centro Europeu de Riscos Urbanos) is organising the International Conference on Urban risks (ICUR2016) from 30 June to 2 July 2016 in Lisbon (Portugal). The Conference will bring together technicians and stakeholders, as well as researchers and students to share experience and original research contributions on different topics related to urban risks including natural and technological hazards, environmental and health risk, societal risks etc. The aim of the meeting is to contribute to the reduction of the impact of natural technological hazards on urban societies. Strategies on emergency planning and response will also be addressed.
