1964 - Innsbruck
Its geographical position and its history make it a bridge between Italy and Germany, between Northern and Southern, Eastern and Western Europe. Its name moreover expresses this vocation of forming a bridge which connects rather than separates peoples, one to which the town has remained true: it maintains successful twinning arrangements with the towns of Aalborg (Denmark), Krakow (Poland), Freiburg-im-Breisgau (Germany), Grenoble (France), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Tbilisi (Georgia) under which frequent cultural, youth and student exchanges take place regularly.
