1978 - Tubize

The Tubize townTubize is a French-speaking Belgian municipality situated in the Wallonia region in the province of Walloon Brabant. This small town stems from the meeting of two rivers, the Senne and the Sennette, and its history is marked by this duality between town and country, rural tradition and industry. The municipality has succeeded in bringing home the European ideal to its entire population through a large number of civic education activities resulting from the twinning arrangements, encounters at all levels and youth exchanges.

Tubize is twinned with Korntal-Münchingen (Germany), Mirande (France) and Scandiano (Italy). European information for the citizens has also materialised in the yearly distribution, on Europe Day, of a free brochure for every home.
