The Turin townTurin is an Italian city in the Turin province, in the Piedmont region, crossed by the River Po. Turin was the ancient, first capital of Italy, a major industrial city in the forefront of artistic and cultural promotion: each period has a different corresponding identity which has marked the portrait of the city and is expressed through its cultural, architectural and monumental heritage.

It is twinned with Campo Grande (Brazil), Chambéry and Lille (France), Cologne (Germany), Cordoba (Argentina), Detroit and Salt Lake City (United States), Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg), Gaza (Palestine), Glasgow (United Kingdom), Liège (Belgium), Nagoya (Japan), Quetzaltenango (Guatemala), Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Shenyang (China), but today maintains a consolidated network of bilateral relations and partnerships and co-operation agreements with over 40 different towns in 30 different countries.
