Bianca Guțan – Ph.D. (Bucharest), L.L.M (Nottingham) – is a Professor of Constitutional Law and of Human Rights Law at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, Faculty of Law. Her main areas of research are Constitutional Law, Comparative Constitutional Law and European Law of Human Rights. She is an ad-hoc judge at the European Court of Human Rights, a member of the advisory board of the ICON-S (International Society of Public Law) CEE Chapter, vice-president of the Romanian Association of Constitutional Law, a member of the editorial board of the Romanian Journal of Comparative Law, a member of the National Council for Confirmation of Academic Titles, Certificates and Diplomas (CNATDCU). She is the author of, inter alia, the book The Constitution of Romania: A Contextual Analysis (Hart Publishing, 2016), and auhor and co-author numerous articles and chapters published internationally, in the above-mentioned fields.
