Tena Šimonović Einwalter is the Chair of the Executive Board of the European Network of Equality Bodies (EQUINET). She has been working in the Croatian central equality body since 2008, after having been one of the drafters of the Croatian Anti-discrimination Act and was elected Deputy Ombudswoman by the Parliament in 2013. She is the Member of European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) for Croatia, currently in her second mandate and was Chair of ECRI’s Working Group on the GPR on Equality Bodies. She graduated in Law from the University of Zagreb, holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Zagreb, a Master’s degree in European and Comparative Law from the University of Oxford and was awarded the Diploma of the International Institute for Human Rights in Strasbourg.
