The Council of Europe’s Mutual Information System on Social Protection (MISSCEO) held its 25th meeting on 13 June 2024 in Strasbourg, France, and with virtual participation via Zoom. The network, which brings together 11 Member States* of the Council of Europe, is complementary to the European Union’s MISSOC network.
The meeting brought together MISSCEO correspondents to discuss recent developments in social protection in the MISSCEO countries. Correspondents also heard about the latest developments in the MISSOC network. A detailed discussion on the evolution of national social protection systems in MISSCEO countries followed, where correspondents shared updates from their respective nations.
In the afternoon, the agenda shifted towards planning the 2025 editions of MISSCEO. This session aimed to set the stage for future collaborations and outline upcoming projects and priorities. The meeting concluded with an open forum for any other business, allowing participants to address additional topics and share relevant information.
