The COE-FRA-ENNHRI-EQUINET Collaborative Platform on Social and Economic Rights will hold its 12th meeting on strengthening cooperation between National Human Rights Institutions/Equality Bodies and civil society organisations working in the field of social rights on 20 September 2022 in Bratislava (Slovak Republic).
More specifically, the objectives of the meeting are to explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation, exchange of practices and synergies between National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), National Equality Bodies (NEBs) and civil society organisations; to reflect on the specificity, as well as the complementarity, of NHRIs/NEBs and civil society actors in the promotion of social rights, including in the Covid-19 context.
Moreover, the aim of the meeting is to to consolidate and further advance the knowledge of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), National Equality Bodies (NEBs), and civil society organisations on the monitoring procedures of the European Social Charter in order to encourage them to take an active part in those procedures, and to enhance their capacity to use the European Social Charter and the outcomes of the monitoring under the Charter for policy shaping and decision making so as to render social rights fully effective.
