No. 157/2017 European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) and Mental Disability Advocacy Centre (MDAC) v. Czech Republic
The complaint was registered on 3 October 2017. Its relates to Article 17 (right of mothers and children to social and economic protection) of the 1961 Charter Charter in the light of the principle of non-discrimination contained in the Preamble of the 1961 Charter. The complainant organisations complain that children under the age of 3, especially Roma children and children with disabilities have been routinely placed in early childhood medical care institutions. ERRC and MDAC allege that these institutions cannot be regarded as appropriate within the meaning of the above mentioned provisions of the 1961 Charter.
