The complaint was registered on 25 November 2019. It concerns Article 30 (the right to protection against poverty and social exclusion) of the Revised European Social Charter. SAESE alleges that due to successive pension reforms since 2011 that have reduced the level of pensions, several million precarious teachers are at risk of poverty when they reach retirement age. SAESE complains that there is no comprehensive and coordinated approach to fighting poverty and social exclusion in Italy, in violation of the above-mentioned provision.
