New projects funded under the Special Call Ukraine

In October 2023, 14 applications were received under the special call Ukraine. 5 pilot activities to be implemented in Ukraine have been awarded by the Programming Committee on Youth with the total amount of 73 586 EUR.  The projects are varied and touch upon topics and issues such as participatory processes of youth engagement in community issues, youth participation at local level, mental health and well-being of young people in Ukraine as an effect of the war, Roma youth in Ukraine and integration of internally displaced girls in their new communities.

The special call to support young people from Ukraine was launched in 2022 following the decision of the Council of Europe’s Joint Council of Youth. This initiative responds to the current needs expressed by the Ukrainian authorities and stakeholders in the field of youth. As of 5 December 2023, there were 26 projects awarded, for a total amount of € 381 476.
