The EYF organised from 7 to 9 March in Beja, in the Alentejo region, Portugal, a 3-day training event for 22 representatives of youth organisations and of public authorities in the field of youth at national and local level in Portugal.
Organised in co-operation with the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), this event replaces the yearly EYF seminars, as part of the ongoing effort to disseminate the opportunities for youth NGOs. In the offices of the IPDJ, the EYF team presented d its opportunities and working methods, as well as certain highlights of youth policy and project management.
The objectives were to:
- Reach out directly to young people and youth organisations in Portugal
- Disseminate the opportunities offered by the EYF and its specificities
- Learn about the reality and context of youth NGOs in Portugal
- Support IPDJ in its work with youth NGOS in the country
The Portuguese authorities plan to use this experience to disseminate information about the funding opportunities of the EYF for youth NGOs in other regions of Portugal.
This presentation was organised in co-operation with the Portuguese Institute of Youth and Sports.
