The European Youth Foundation is visiting projects it is supporting and run by non-governmental youth organisations.

Through the visits the Foundation expects to increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe; give feedback to the Programming Committee on Youth (more about the Committee); establish contact with youth NGOs; get to know NGOs and the work they do.

Visited projects are organised by non-governmental youth organisations (NGOs) which are registered with the Foundation and received a grant. (More information on the application process).

EYF visit to a Work Plan in Tbilisi, Georgia

As part of its effort to engage with Youth NGOs and further understand the reality of young people in Europe, on 14 and 15 June the European Youth Foundation has visited the seminar “Diversity, Inclusion and Pluralism: Your Vision of Social Discourse”, which is an International Activity part of a 2019 Work Plan by the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) and supported by the EYF.

The IFLRY Work Plan, entitled “Changing the Norm: Youth’s Vision of Diversity, Inclusion and Democratic Pluralism” is a set of 4 interconnected activities aiming at reflecting on pluralism, its importance in the current political climate and what can be done to defend and promote pluralistic societies.

The Seminar took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 13 to 16 June and it was the second activity in the Work Plan. Other events are taking place in Warsaw, Sarajevo and the Hague and each of them is focusing on a different dimension of Pluralism. These reflexions will contribute to IFLRY’s strategic approach on the topic, which will be completed by the end of the Work Plan.
