The European Youth Foundation is visiting projects it is supporting and run by non-governmental youth organisations.

Through the visits the Foundation expects to increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe; give feedback to the Programming Committee on Youth (more about the Committee); establish contact with youth NGOs; get to know NGOs and the work they do.

Visited projects are organised by non-governmental youth organisations (NGOs) which are registered with the Foundation and received a grant. (More information on the application process).

Monitoring visit to the international activity “International Training on Young Women* and Peace” of the Young European Federalists (JEF)

On 19 and 20 March 2025, the European Youth Foundation conducted a monitoring visit to the first international activity “International Training on Young Women* and Peace” of the Young European Federalists (JEF), as part of the 2025 annual work plan “RAISE - Resilience And Integration for Sustainable European peace”.

The training course, organised over a duration of five days (17-21 March) in Derry, Northern Ireland, brought together 15 participants from 9 countries to understand the basic theory of positive peace and its adjacent concepts, such as structural violence, critical conflict analysis and the perspective of peace as a ‘multi-level process’; to examine and research contributions and needs of women* in peace-building and conflict resolution processes, while applying a gender transformative approach and to learn about Council of Europe instruments and resources on peacebuilding and gender equality.

The participants were supported by the facilitators to formalise ideas for local actions that could benefit from the micro-funding of multiplier actions foreseen by the annual work plan.
