The European Youth Foundation is visiting projects it is supporting and run by non-governmental youth organisations.

Through the visits the Foundation expects to increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe; give feedback to the Programming Committee on Youth (more about the Committee); establish contact with youth NGOs; get to know NGOs and the work they do.

Visited projects are organised by non-governmental youth organisations (NGOs) which are registered with the Foundation and received a grant. (More information on the application process).

The EYF visits pilot activity on youth participation in Bulgaria

The EYF visited on 16 - 18 June a pilot activity in Hisarya, Bulgaria, implemented in the framework of the 2022 Youth Campaign Democracy Here. Democracy Now.

This is a local project by Youth and Civil Initiatives in The Rose Valley, in which students and teachers from 5 high-schools in the Karlovo municipality are coming together and learning about democracy and how it works at local, national and European level, as well as youth participation and how they can be more involved.

The activity will be followed by participants' initiatives in their own communities and the publication of materials on youth participation, to be made available in the partner high-schools.

This is the first youth activity for many of the participants, who have shared their interest in learning more about the topic and become more involved.
