On 3-5 October, the Department for the Execution of Judgments organised a study visit to Strasbourg of the Government Agent of the Republic of Moldova, Mr Dumitru Obadă, and members of his Office.
The event aimed at sharpening the participants’ knowledge about the mechanism of supervision of execution of the ECHR judgments and developing their technical skills in drafting action plans and reports. The participants became acquainted with good practices in the domestic systems of execution of the ECHR judgments in other states and discussed outstanding issues on cases pending against the Republic of Moldova.
Meetings were also held with Ms Diana Sârcu, Judge at the European Court, elected in respect of the Republic of Moldova, the Registry of the European Court, CEPEJ, the DGI Department for Implementation of Human Rights, Justice and Legal Cooperation Standards as well as the Department for Police, Detention, Drugs and Addictions.
