On 30 January, the Austrian Execution Coordinator from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried out a study visit to the Council of Europe. During this visit, which was accompanied by the Austrian Permanent Representation, the work of the Department for the Execution of Judgments was presented. The Department pointed out the good cooperation with the Austrian authorities and the low number of cases pending before the Committee of Ministers. In addition, the cases pending execution were discussed, including the case Künsberg Sarre concerning the violation of the applicants’ right to respect for their private and family life on account of the prohibition to use the prefix “von” as part of their surnames.
