UNICEF works on children rights in almost every country in the world. In addition to the more traditional themes of education, health, water and sanitation and child protection issues, UNICEF is constantly looking for new emerging issues that have significant impact on children. UNICEF has started a new initiative in 2018 called “Generation AI” that looks at risks and opportunities of AI on children, and aims at developing global policy guidance on the matter.

Irene has worked with various big international organizations (UNICEF, UNDP, UNFCCC, World Bank), as well as with the government and private sector. Irene is passionate about introducing better ethical standards for digital products and services, especially in the field of new emerging technologies.
