Committee of Experts on Artificial Intelligence, Equality and Discrimination (GEC/ADI-AI)
The draft Recommendation will be based on the “Study on the impact of artificial intelligence systems, their potential for promoting equality, including gender equality, and the risks they may cause in relation to non-discrimination” adopted by the GEC and the CDADI in 2023. It will take into account the results of the work of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI), in particular the Framework Convention on artificial intelligence and human rights, democracy, and the rule of law (CETS No. 225).
GEC/ADI-AI is composed of eight representatives of member States, four on behalf of the CDADI and four of the GEC, and six independent experts with established expertise in artificial intelligence, human rights, equality, including gender equality, and non-discrimination. Other member States may designate representatives without defrayal of expenses.
