Gender Equality: Paving the Way
Conference to launch the Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy 2018-2023
Copenhagen, 3-4 May 2018

The conference was organised by the Gender Equality Commission of the Council of Europe in partnership with the Department for Gender Equality, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The aim of the conference was to address current and emerging challenges which prevent a faster pace of progress to achieve substantive and full gender equality, and to discuss the way forward in implementing the new Council of Europe Gender Equality Strategy.
The conference focused on women in decision-making, the human rights of women and girl migrants, refugee and asylum seeking women and girls, gender stereotypes and sexism, and the role of men in the gender equality agenda.
