About the conference

The conference was organised within the framework of the Ending violence against women: multi-country programme and brought together 91 women’s rights activists and professionals from 26 countries to learn and exchange on awareness raising on violence against women in the context of global challenges.

Civil society representatives shared their experiences and good practices on the topic, and took part in four workshops around the digital dimension of violence against women, sexism and gender stereotypes, women’s access to justice, and addressing the backlash against gender equality. International experts facilitated the workshops, contributing to the diversity of perspectives and experience.

On the final day of the Conference, the participants took part in a World Café and agreed on a Call for Action to promote the progress and synergies needed to end violence against women in a challenging context.
