HELP course on Introduction to the ECHR and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) launched for the group of judges from Vologda region

On 3 December 2020, the updated HELP course on Introduction to the ECHR and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) was launched for the group of 25 judges from Vologda region.

Senior Project Managers Ms Vasilisa Neshataeva and Ms Irina Vitchinka delivered welcoming remarks and gave an overview of the project “HELP in the Russian Federation (III phase)”. Ms Natalya Kravchuk, professor of international law at the Russian State University of Justice and Council of Europe expert, presented the course on Introduction to the ECHR and the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) to the participants.

The updated course is part of the Council of Europe’s extensive Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Programme. It is a 5-hour online training course accessible to all at http://help.elearning.ext.coe.int/ .

Since its relaunch in March 2020, the updated version has become a ‘best seller’ among the HELP catalogue of courses on human rights, with more than 4,000 users, mainly legal professionals, public authorities, civil society and law students.
