Young activists from Bosnia and Herzegovina are invited to participate in the training course on human rights education “Human Rights - Our Rights”.

Citizens' Association "Oštra Nula" in partnership with the Council of Europe Youth Department organises a Compass national training course "Human Rights - Our Rights" as the part of the Human Rights Education Youth Programme for 2023.

This training course will raise awareness and improve the competences of Bosnian young leaders, activists, and socially responsible citizens about democratic citizenship and human rights education based on the Compass manual.

Objectives of the training course:

• To develop young people’s abilities in understanding and applying citizenship and human rights education in their activities;
• To acquaint the participants with the Compass manual and tools that the participants may apply in further work with young people in their local communities;
• To increase the sensitivity of young people, activists, and students towards human rights;
• To support the creation of an informal network of young people to advocate for human rights education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The training course is designed for participants who are:

• aged between 18 and 30 years old;
• placed in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• socially engaged;
• passionate to address injustice and inequality;
• motivated to create a positive environment in their local communities.

All candidates who meet the profile requirements outlined above are welcome to apply, regardless of gender, social or family status, racial or ethnic origin, skin color, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.

The selected participants will take part in various workshops on the topic of human rights, media reporting on them and strategies for living and promoting human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The costs of transportation and boarding are borne by the Oštra Nula Association. The full participation will be proven by the Council of Europe certificate.
