CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS: Compass training course in Slovenia

 Youth workers, trainers, and educators who are motivated to contribute to human rights education with young people in Slovenia are invited to apply for the Compass National Training Course in Brežice.

The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Youth Brežice – YC Brežice, in partnership with the Council of Europe Youth Department, is organising a training course the Value of Human Rights Education as part of the Human Rights Education Youth Programme for 2023.

The training course aims to support the recognition of human rights education and develop key competences of multipliers working in regional and national youth centers in Slovenia.
 

 Objectives :

  • To explore the Compass activities, approaches, examples and gain skills to use them in practice.
  • To develop competences (knowledge, skills, attitudes, values) on Human Rights Education of key youth multipliers.
  • To prepare a dissemination plan for the Compass manual and its activities in Slovenia.
  • To stimulate and develop quality programmes for human rights education at the local, regional and national levels.
  • To increase quality in facilitating activities of human rights education at the local, regional and national levels.

 Participants:

Youth workers, trainers, and educators working in youth centers, youth organisations, and educational institutions with young people in Slovenia.

 Practical information:

The working language is English. Accommodation, meals, and educational materials will be provided by organisers.

 Dates: 11-15 October 2023

 Place: Youth Hostel Brežice, Slovenia
