The Internet Governance Forum is taking place this year in Berlin on 25-29 November 2019 with more than 3000 participants. Opened by the Secretary General of the United Nations, A. Guterres and the German Federal Chancellor A. Merkel, the forum is organised this year under the theme “One World. One Net. One Vision”. The Council of Europe’s delegation, led by Jan Kleijssen, Director, Information Society – Action against Crime, is participating in various events on the protection of privacy and personal data, on artificial intelligence, on the fight against cybercrime, on the responsibility of digital platforms, on gender equality, on children’s rights, on education and on youth participation.
