On 20 February 2019, the Council of Europe and the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan held a certificate presentation ceremony.
Certificates were presented to 26 HELP certified trainers who successfully completed the HELP Training of Trainers, 31 law students and just graduates who accomplished the 10-week HELP distance course on “Introduction to the European Convention on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights” implemented during October-December 2018, as well as 29 law students who successfully completed the internship program at the legal clinic of the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan from September to December 2018.
Ambassador Zoltan Hernyes, Head of the Council of Europe in Azerbaijan and Mr. Elchin Khalafov, Acting Rector of the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan were present at the ceremony and awarded the certificates to the successful participants.
The activities were organized in the framework of the “Application of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights in Azerbaijan” project, which is part of the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) program for Eastern Partnership countries and funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
