Back Continuous Professional Training of Prosecutors on Management and Leadership

In the period of 12-16 February 2018, 72 prosecutors benefited from several training activities on different aspects of management and leadership organised by the Council of Europe Project “Support to criminal justice reforms in the Republic of Moldova” financed by the Government of Denmark in cooperation with the National Institute of Justice. 

The activities were held in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, and were part of the Management and leadership module which is included in the 2018 curriculum of continuous training for judges and prosecutors of the National Institute of Justice. The module consisted of several specific trainings, such as: the workshop "Planning and time management", the seminar "Ethics and professional deontology", "Management and leadership" and "Efficient communication with Media".

The module aimed at enhancing the participants’ skills on efficient time management, effective communication, media relations, and at providing knowledge on ethical standards, key aspects of effective management and rules of disciplinary liability. The trainings were delivered by national and international trainers who shared their theoretical and practical knowledge and experience, as well as best practice in the relevant fields.

These activities fall within one of the specific objectives of the project “Support to criminal justice reforms in the Republic of Moldova” i.e. To enhance capacity among key stakeholders to ensure the compliance of the criminal justice sector legislation with European standards and to support the institutional reform of the Public Prosecution Service.
