Cyberjustice Europe Conference 2023 hosted by the Council of Europe

The CYBERJUSTICE EUROPE CONFERENCE held in Strasbourg on November 24, 2023, organised in partnership with the Institute of Study and Research on Law and Justice (IERDJ, Paris), the Cyberjustice Laboratory (Montreal) and the University of Strasbourg brought together more than 150 participants (researchers, experts and practitioners in legal and IT areas) from numerous countries to discuss the impact of technology on justice and human rights.

The members of this rich international community were brought together for the second time to discuss and exchange on the application of AI in judicial area, the evolution of cybercrime, the need for public policies to support the development of digital platforms and services, the impact of open access to legal and judicial information, augmented legal professions, the virtual future of the courtroom, and the impact of technological progress on democracy.

The TJENI project supported the organisation of the Cyberjustice Conference and contributed to the discussions on the opportunities and risks of open access to judicial data and shared the information and findings collected on this topic under the project.


 


The project “Foster Transparency of Judicial Decisions and Enhancing the National Implementation of the ECHR” is implemented by the Council of Europe and funded by the EEA and Norway Grants fund for Regional Cooperation.
