The final Draft Rulebook on Administration in Public Prosecutors’ Offices was additionally amended at the final Working Group meeting in Belgrade on 14 May.  The project "Support for the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Serbia” supported the organisation of the meeting, bringing together the representatives of the  Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office, members of the High Prosecutorial Council, Association of Prosecutors and civil society.

The work on the Rulebook was summarised and several final details were added. One of the proposals of the civil society was incorporated in the text, referring to the right of a public prosecutor to comment on the minutes of the meeting of the collegium of a public prosecutors’ office in case they disagree with the content. This new solution was perceived as an important upgrade of the position of public prosecutors. The Normative department of the Ministry of Justice will prepare the final text for adoption, following the official opinion of the High Prosecutorial Council.

This act is one of the final bylaws to be aligned with the set of new prosecutorial laws. The project "Support for the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Serbia” will continue to actively cooperate with relevant institutions in their reform efforts.
