The online training course on Artificial intelligence (AI) and discrimination is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands (Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties).

The online training presents current European and Dutch regulations and standards in the field of AI, algorithms, and non-discrimination law and identifies examples of algorithmic discrimination. It allows participants to discover case studies and promising practices for the legal treatment of these situations in various fields, in order to build the capacity of relevant actors to contribute to the fight against algorithmic discrimination.

The online training consists of four online modules which will be available from October 2024 to January 2025.

- Module 1: technology and equality - fundamental concepts

- Module 2: combating algorithm discrimination

- Module 3: algorithmic discrimination - illustrations in several areas

- Module 4: prospects for a new regulation of AI

A course launch event scheduled on 23 October 2024, a Webinar on morning of 3 December 2024, and closing event scheduled on 23 January 2025.

The training is open to employees of government agencies and network of anti-discrimination bureaus.
