On 1 May 2024, we mark the entry into force of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (CETS 210) in respect of Latvia which becomes the 39th Party to the Convention.
 
The increase in the number of parties shows the determination to eradicate gender-based violence against women.
