Council of Europe continues its support in the field of youth in Ukraine

Since March 2022, the Council of Europe project “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine”  accompanies youth policy and youth work under war conditions, the Project activities are implemented in close co-operation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. On 1 April 2025 the Council of Europe launched the fourth phase of the project in co-operation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre and the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.

Before December 2026, it is expected young people in Ukraine benefit from participatory youth policies and quality youth work. The project aimed at helping young people build resilience, safeguard their well-being, exercise their rights in the war and post-war time, and play a meaningful role in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts. 

The pool of local consultants – trainers and researchers - are trained on effective and meaningful delivery of planning, implementing and evaluating of capacity building activities, support actions and other events during 3-day training seminar on 23-25 April 2025. Natalia Radchuk, Head of Department for International Cooperation and European Integration, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, member of the European Steering Committee for Youth (CDEJ) presented key priorities and news in the field of youth in Ukraine, shared the results of the 52nd session of the co-managed decision-making body of the youth sector.


The Council of Europe project “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase IV” was launched within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” for 2023-2026. News, resources of the Council of Europe in the field of youth, and open announcements for participation in Project events can be found here.
