On 5 December 2023, at 14:00-18:30, an online information event "HELP in universities" will be held, dedicated to embedding human rights in university education with support from the Council of Europe HELP Programme and courses.
For participation, the registration form should be filled. The event will be held online in English without translation.
HELP courses can be used by university professors as an additional tool to supplement their teaching curricula for students, primarily of law.
Objectives of the event:
- To introduce interested university professors to the Council of Europe HELP Programme and the HELP courses and online platform.
- To inform university professors of the practical ways to use/include the HELP courses in their everyday teaching.
- To present the most interesting HELP courses for university students.
- To provide testimonies of university professors who have used the HELP courses for their students.
Target audience – university professors, primarily of law, but also of political studies, international relations, European integration, journalism etc.
During the event the speakers will present the HELP Programme, the HELP e-learning platform, ways to implement HELP courses in university education and achievements in cooperation with the universities, including in Ukraine. Participants will also learn about the Open Council of Europe Academic Network (OCEAN).
During the event Olga Kostenko, International Manager of the Project “HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine including during wartime” will present the experience of cooperation of HELP with the Ukrainian universities within the Project
