The Council of Europe Project HELP for Ukraine became a co-organiser of the Summer School of Coaching Excellence for civil servants

On 13 August, a 4-day Summer School of Coaching Excellence was launched by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service and the High School of Public Governance in cooperation with international partners*. The Council of Europe Project "HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) for Ukraine including during wartime" is a co-organiser of the school and will hold a two days HELP training for trainers and the launch of the HELP course "Human Rights in the Armed Forces".

Over 120 people participate in the Summer School offline and 120 online representing Ukrainian training centers and educational institutions for advanced training of civil servants, trainers, experts in the field of public administration, civil servants, employees of the organisations, institutions, associations, thematic experts, representatives of international technical assistance projects, and others.

The event aims to introduce modern training technologies and educational innovations in the field of professional training of civil servants.

Participants will discuss current trends in the professional development of civil servants, present the best teaching practices at the Higher School of Public Governance and other educational service providers. The event will help to expand network of trainers to meet the needs of professional development of civil servants and the creation of an educational space for the training of expert practitioners who are proficient in modern innovative methods and tools for professional training of civil servants.

As part of the Summer School, HELP Project for Ukraine will conduct a training of trainers to prepare future HELP tutors. Participants will get acquainted with the HELP methodology, gain the necessary knowledge and practical skills to prepare national adaptation and launching of HELP courses with the tutors. The participants will include the judges, prosecutors, lawyers and civil servants.

In addition, the HELP for Ukraine Project, in cooperation with the High School of Public Governance, will launch the HELP course "Human Rights in the Armed Forces". The purpose of this course is to help legal professionals and other participants better understand the human rights and fundamental freedoms of military personnel and the mechanisms for their protection.

The HELP Project successfully cooperates with the High School of Public Governance together with the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service. In a year and a half, two HELP courses "Anti-Discrimination" and "Internal Displacement" were launched for civil servants and a group of trainers for civil servants was formed to become HELP programme certified trainers
