Back The Council of Europe publishes the Assessment of the Ukrainian legislation on the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights

The Council of Europe publishes the Assessment of the Ukrainian legislation on the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights . The Assessment was made on request of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and analysed related Ukrainian legislation vis-a-vis the applicable Council of Europe standards and recommendations, as well as good European practices as to the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The Assessment also describes the interaction between the Ukrainian Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights with relevant national authorities.

The Assessment was prepared in the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Support to the implementation of the judicial reform in Ukraine” by the international consultants of the Council of Europe - Dr Costas Paraskeva, Assistant Professor of Public Law, University of Cyprus and Dr Marius Emberland, Government Agent of the Kingdom of Norway before the European Court of Human Rights.
