On 9-10 May 2023, the Ukrainian delegation of the expert team of the Council of Europe Project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III" presented the experience of youth work and the work of the project in Ukraine after 24 February 2022 for representatives of youth centres that have obtained or plan to gain the Council of Europe Quality Label. 

The presentation took place within the framework of the 14th Platform of Youth Centres, which took place at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg (France). Representatives of the network of youth centres with the Council of Europe Quality Label met to exchange knowledge and work experience, in particular presented the experience of working with young people and families with children from Ukraine in their countries.

The Council of Europe Project presented a methodology for exploring the practices of youth centres and invited youth centres with the Council of Europe Quality Label to participate in creating a collection of experiences that the Project can disseminate in training programmes for civil servants and youth workers in Ukraine in 2023-2024. This research and dissemination of experience is expected to contribute to the provision of services for young people in Ukraine, especially from those vulnerable groups such as IDPs, returnees and affected by war, in accordance with Council of Europe standards and approaches and with the support of youth centres that have the Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centres.

The Project «Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III» is carried out in the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2023-2026 and was built on the results and experience of the projects “Youth for Democracy in Ukraine” in 2020-2022. The Project will extend the systematic influence by strengthening participatory youth policies and reinforce youth work in the war and in a post war context, taking into account the specific needs of young people.
