Ukrainian judges, prosecutors and lawyers trained on violence against women and domestic violence

65 Ukrainian judges, prosecutors and lawyers have successfully completed the Council of Europe HELP online course on violence against women

The course has been adapted to meet the specific needs of Ukraine. Through the Violence against Women HELP course, legal professionals gain a deeper understanding of the barriers and trauma faced by victims as well as their crucial role in protecting victims' rights. Such training equips professionals with gender-sensitive approaches, familiarity with relevant legal instruments, and improved coordination across disciplines when handling these cases. It also contains hands-on experience in handling cases related to violence against women and domestic violence in Ukraine which is especially relevant to respond to the increasing number of cases of gender-based violence against women in Ukraine in a time of war.

The course is available in Ukrainian and can be accessed through the Council of Europe HELP online platform.
