VIII International Forum on case-law of the European Court of Human Rights “The Right to a Fair Trial under Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights: Recent Developments” was held on November 22-23, 2019 in Lviv

The Annual International Forum on the case-law of the (Forum) is a well-known platform for legal practitioners, academia, and prominent think-tanks to discuss a wide range of important issues related to the application of the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights. This year, Judges of the European Court of Human Rights, lawyers of the Division of the Department for the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, human rights experts were participated in the Forum.

The Forum was welcomed by Illia Chernohorenko, Head of the Council of Europe Project Support to the Implementation of Judicial Reform in Ukraine, Valentyna Danishevska, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mykola Onishchuk, Rector of the National School of Judges of Ukraine and Volodymyr Melnyk, Rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The event is co-organized by the Council of Europe Project “Support to the Implementation of the Judicial Reform in Ukraine” and OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine within the framework of the project “Promoting Responsive Professional Judicial Education” the jointly with the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Supreme Court, and the National School of Judges of Ukraine.
