On August 28-29, 2024, a workshop on new approaches to crisis psychological counselling for penitentiary system professionals was held in Kyiv. The event was held within the framework of the Forum “Effective Work of Psychologists as an Important Component of Penitentiary Reform” and brought together more than 120 participants from different regions of Ukraine, including psychologists and employees of social, educational and rehabilitation units of the Department for the Execution of Criminal Sentences. This event was jointly organized by the Council of Europe Project “Towards more humane conditions of detention and reduction of reoffending in Ukraine (DECOPRIS)” and the EU Project “Pravo-Justice”.
