On 15 June 2023 the introductory meeting on the All-Ukrainian Networking Week for psychological support of young people took place in an online format.
The Networking Week will be held on 26-30 June 2023. The idea of the Networking Week arose during the implementation of the programme "Trauma Informed Youth Work" within the framework of the Council of Europe project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III".
Goal of the Week:
Expanding partner networks of youth centres and organisations working with young people to make psychological support available to young people in the community.
Objectives of the Week:
- to actualise the importance of referral in the work of youth workers to provide psychological support to young people in communities;
- map providers of psychological support services for young people in communities and form databases of such providers;
- get acquainted, establish ways and conditions for referral between providers of psychological support in communities and youth workers of youth centres and organisations;
- carry out activities aimed at establishing ways of referral in youth work;
- to raise awareness of young people about local providers of psychological support services through the implementation of joint activities.

About the Programme
The training and practical programme "Trauma Informed Youth Work" was developed and implemented in 2022 within the framework of the Revised Work Plan of the Council of Europe Project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase II" aimed at organising capacity building activities for youth workers to provide assistance and support to internally displaced persons, returnees, vulnerable groups during the war. The idea of this Programme arose in April 2022 during a series of meetings of youth workers of Ukraine devoted to discussing the current challenges and priorities of youth work during the war.
For five months in August-December 2022, the Programme was implemented by the Council of Europe Project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase II" in cooperation with the Council of Europe Project "Internal Displacement in Ukraine: Building Solutions. Phase II" and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The program envisaged training for trainers and trainers, their implementation of training programmes in communities in accordance with the content of the developed manual on the training course on youth work informed about trauma.
The project "Youth for Democracy in Ukraine: Phase III" was launched within the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2023-2026. The project aims to ensure that young people in Ukraine benefit from participatory youth policy and quality youth work to strengthen their resilience and well-being, to exercise their human rights and freedoms, democratic participation and citizenship in war and post-war times.
