Title: Gender sensitiveness of local policies and legal practices on internal displacement
The project is aimed at embedding gender as a cross-cutting issue in local policies and legal practices on internal displacement.
Objectives of the project are:
- Incorporation of gender component to regional and local development plans or IDPs' integration programms in pilot communities
- Improvement of legal practices on IDPs rights protection through gender sensitive and victim oriented approach
- Integration of a gender perspective in business practices related to IDPs.
All-Ukrainian Charity Foundation “Gorenie”
Title: Building capacities of IDPs through development of mobile application “IDPRights - protection of IDPs’ rights”
The project is aimed at building capacities of IDPs by creating system of notification about important news and events, ensuring provision of comprehensive legal assistance and organizing a discussion platform through development of mobile application “IDPRights – protection of IDPs’ rights”.
Objectives of the project are:
1. Raising awareness of IDPs about solutions to their urgent problems or various important aspects of successful integration by creating audio podcasts and video interviews to be plased on the mobile app “IDPRights”
2. Providing a platform for communication and joint public initiatives for IDPs from different regions of Ukraine and representatives of state authorities
3. Raising legal awareness and improving legal protection of IDPs by developing legal education materials.
Civil Holding "Group of Influence"
Title: Local advocacy for IDPs
The project is aimed at activating IDPs to solve their problems on local level through advocacy campaigns and fostering participation in decision making processes.
Objectives of the project are:
1. Conduct an all-Ukrainian competition among the IDРs on the training of advocacy campaigns to protect interests.
2. Conduct trainings for 40 IDPs, focusing on regions with the highest number of IDPs, on using local democracy tools to secure their own rights
3. Provide mentor support in realizing the training of their own advocacy initiatives in local communities.
Kharkiv Institute for Social Research
Title: Development of the IDP needs assessment tool
The project is aimed at developing the universal methodology for assessing IDP' needs which will allow local authorities to regularly update programms for IDPs and more efficiently use the budget.
Objectives of the project are:
1. Development of the methodology
2. Coordination of the unified approach to IDPs needs assessment at national level
