Back “I DARE” – Increasing self-esteem and developing assertiveness for prevention of violence in schools

The training unit (TU), developed in the Pestalozzi Programme in the Education for the prevention of violence at schools (VIO) module, consists of fourteen activities, including an assessment session for initial and in-service training for groups of up to 20 people.

‘I-DARE’ provides training aimed at increasing teachers’ and pupils’ general awareness of violence issues and helps them develop a proactive and assertive attitude, in order to prevent such incidents from occurring by promoting acceptance and a cooperative environment.

The activities provide teachers with the opportunity to practice proactive, assertive attitudes and be stimulated on the subject, in order to be able to apply these activities in class with their pupils.
