This training resource focuses on the ways to modify games in order to create a more inclusive environment for students in order to minimize violence, frustration and anger in sports classes.
Participants have the opportunity to think about and discuss approaches to physical education: how they contribute to violence, how to build shared responsibility, how to help each other and include collaborative group work.
The training unit also helps participants to distinguish between violent behavior and physical acts, to enhance the competencies of teachers in how to modify games and how to make them contribute to the promotion of democracy and human rights.
This training unit is aimed to be used by teachers and trainers who work in physical education at school. It can be used by two teachers as it is divided into two parts.
Activities in the training unit are based on the methodology of cooperation and also contain actions such as group work, role play, game performing and discussion.
