This strategy paper is based upon reviews of how democratic competences and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills are reflected in educational systems, practices and focus groups looking at how the digital world is perceived by educators and young people, in participating countries. The knowledge acquired in interactive, digital-world workshops, dedicated to young people and the news role of educators was used. The main results of the process are reflected in a SWOT analysis along with key assumptions and the strategic direction of this strategy paper. It also offers a number of resources for teachers and teacher trainers in annex.
