This training unit, developed in the Pestalozzi Programme in the Education for the prevention of discrimination (DISC) module, consists of three activities, including an assessment session for in-service training.
The aim of the unit is to introduce stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination through a variety of activities and examples. Participants learn about the factors impacting human interactions, from both cognitive and affective perspectives, and discover "how to" appropriately form opinions when interacting with others. Participants will reflect on the importance of appreciating human similarities and the necessity for the prevention of discrimination and the demonstration of more tolerance when it comes to people's differences.
